Calypso Lady, 1941

This was discovered in the collection of the Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council in Batavia, NY. Painted in 1941, “Calypso Lady” was likely finished when Lee was a student at the Art Institute of Buffalo (between 1939-41), and donated to GO Arts many years later.

  1. Hello, a while back, I acquired the Calypso Lady painting at an auction in Batavia NY. I love the website you have created to honor your dear family member, and I am reaching out in case you would like to get this painting back into the hands of the family. Best, Andrew
