Generations of the family, 1969

A wedding present for my mother, each of the items in this still life represents a generation of the new family:  the conch is my mother’s family, the pussy willows are my father’s ancestors, the pearls my mother, the Oriental coffee pot is my father, and the fruit are the generations to come.
