Funky brooch and earrings, 1940s?

Grandmother made this fun set of earrings and brooch in art school – the “stones” are Bakelite, a popular substitute for onyx or other semi-precious stones in costume jewellery in the early 1900s.

The earrings used to have clips and my mom added the fishhooks later – and I wear them all the time!
